Bomb Runner Story Sneak Peek:

This is really just a story sneak peek, nothing else, just  a post to make sure you remember that Bomb Runner 3.0 exists (not that it will need it in the future). This is only the kinda polished version there is more.


Organisations:

RI7 - The RI7 is an organisation that rescues Blap 3 while investigating the space base crash, they are a joint project of intelligence agencies all over the world, experimenting on how robots could replace humans. The RI7 has more experience in breaking and entering than infiltrating as robots are deemed to have worse social skills than humans, and humans would be very suspicious of robots as they could be recording everything they see. 

Sh0BuB - Sh0BuB is a terrorist organisation that is against robots having free will and want to have them all reprogrammed into submission. Ironically, this organisation is what caused Blap 3 to have free will as a robot sent by Sh0BuB, with faulty code, invaded the Sh0BuB space base and was told to reverse the instructions of the robots within it. Sh0BuB upon realising this, initiated self destruct on the space base. 

Characters:

Playable Characters:

Blap 3 - The third iteration of the Blap series terrorist robots designed for combat with a self destruct technique. They are designed to be fast and nimble as they can work as soldiers or sentient bombs. These robots have just started being manufactured and all but one are destroyed in a space factory self-destruct due to a mysterious figure tampering with the Blap 3 code. Blap 3 is the lone survivor of the incident and manages to escape the space base by getting out before the explosion and getting down by traversing the falling cord, on earth he is found and rescued by the RI7, a robot intelligence agency. Blap’s first mission is very simple: he has to sneak into a crime base and record conversations. Dopey ends up blowing its cover and there is a chase section at the end of the level, Dopey ends up getting caught. Blap is then sent to be part of the rescue party for Dopey with T0M, B0B and DUC.

Dopey - An trashed housebot who is rescued by Blap 3 and follows Blap 3 back to the RI7 it is accepted into the RI7 after being seen as a robot with a huge potential. Gets captured after following Blap 3 (not its first mission, was really just following Blap 3 because it wanted to).

T0M & B0B - T0M and B0B are actually one robot that can split into two, they can be docked together to be controlled as one or as 2, one at a time to get through various puzzle levels. These are long time agents of the RI7, and they accompany DUC in rescuing dopey as their first level.

DUC - DUC is a duck that found Dopey in an alleyway and reactivated it. DUC eventually follows Dopey to the RI7 and gets its own mech suit. DUC somehow was found to specialise in fighting and is part of the RI7 squad that specialises in rescuing compromised agents. DUC’s first mission is right after Dopey’s and it’s to rescue Dopey.

RI7 Base NPCs:

Manic “Sussman” Trash - Sells maps, upgrades and questionable books in the RI7 break room. Should be generous and gullible (if playable should mimic Dopey)

T1m3W0rPD33n0 - Manager of RI7 weapons and training. Should be confident, maybe a little too confident. (if playable should mimic Blap 3 and some of DUC)

C1teeTrur0 Pe3se - Manages the RI7 transport pods/trains. Should have a happy attitude, but a little bit into the story should reveal its immense strength when provoked (not to any of the playable characters). (if playable should mimic Blap 3 and some Dopey)

Side Characters:

Passa Sussman - Held hostage at some point of the story due to his worldwide fame, he is the writer of Shot Stoy, what do you mean you’ve never heard of it?
